Steam disinfection
The method is to put the nutrient soil needed by plants into the pressure cooker or steamer for heating, generally heating to 60 to 100 degrees Celsius, and the time is about 30 to 60 minutes. It should be noted that the heating time should not be too long, otherwise it will lead to the death of beneficial microorganisms decomposing fertilizer and affect the soil fertility.
Solar disinfection
The method is to put the prepared fertilizer on the clean concrete floor, iron sheet or wood board, and lay it on a thin layer. After being exposed to the sun for 3 to 15 days, it can kill a large number of pathogen spores and hyphae, as well as nematodes and pests in the soil. The advantage of this method is that the operation is more convenient, but the disadvantage is not thorough enough.
Boiling disinfection
The method is to put the nutrient soil into the pot, pour in water to start boiling, take it out after about 30 to 60 minutes, filter the water and dry it to a moderate humidity.
Fire disinfection
Put a small amount of soil used for planting into iron plate or iron pot, and then burn it with fire. When the soil becomes dry, it will continue to burn for half an hour to an hour, and then the bacteria and pests in the soil will be eliminated.
Medicament disinfection
In the family, you can also use pesticides to disinfect the soil. The method is to fumigate the soil and sift it. Spray the soil on a layer of soil, add another layer of soil, and spray again, and so on. Finally, cover the soil with a thin plastic touch. After 5 to 7 days of sealing, open the soil and change the air for 3 to 5 days, it can be used. Sulfur powder, carbendazim, mancozeb and formaldehyde are commonly used.
