Flower watering process need to master the tips, the difference between water deduction and backwater

Growing flowers is actually a very strange thing. In the past, every court was full of flowers and plants, and the fragrance of flowers was everywhere. Now, almost every family's courtyard has a place to grow flowers. Even if there is no courtyard, the interior or balcony is full of flowers and plants, and there is also a quiet place to decorate. Water deduction and backwater are the tips that need to be mastered in the process of watering flowers in a specific environment. Let's follow!

1. Buckle water (suitable for flowering and fruiting flowers and trees)

Water withholding refers to the limitation of watering during the growth period of potted flowers, so as to limit the growth of flowers, so that nutrients can be accumulated, which is conducive to flower bud differentiation and finally form flower buds.

Here is an example of flower bud differentiation. Take the cultivation of Chinese rose and plum blossom as an example. When the new shoots grow to about 20 cm, water is limited. After a few days, when the top leaves of the plants are wilting due to lack of water, a small amount of water should be added to restore the leaves. After repeated for several times, the growth of the top of the branch was inhibited, so that the nutrients were concentrated and the flower bud differentiation was promoted.

In fact, there are several ways to achieve this effect:

1. High concentration of potassium dihydrogen can be sprayed at about 20cm to control the top growth.

2. You can pick the top and control it.

3. Spraying hormone control, Paclobutrazol, etc. can achieve this effect (use with caution if you don't understand).

4. Spray professional control slightly nutrient solution products, also can (safe point).

Whether it is potassium dihydrogen or professional control slightly products, generally should be used for more than 2 times, please do not use when hormone does not understand.

2. Backwater (in the case of liquid fertilizer or nutrient solution used)

Backwater means that after applying the flower liquid fertilizer in the evening of the first day, water must be poured again in the morning of the next day, which dilutes the fertilizer in the basin soil and is conducive to the absorption of fibrous roots.

In this way, the fertilizer applied in the evening of the first day will increase its concentration after penetrating and drying overnight. If it is not watered in time, the fertilizer will not be easily absorbed by the root hairs, but will easily damage the roots. Backwater is often used in many high-grade potted flowers, such as azalea, camellia, jasmine, white orchid and so on.

Why?

The first time you use flower nutrient solution or other fertilizer for watering, there is usually a fixed proportion, such as: 500 times. It means that 1 g of stock solution to 500 g of water is poured into the basin soil, because of the relationship between crevice and water retention, part of the nutrients are directly drained away. In fact, the concentration of nutrients left in the soil is still 1 g diluted by 500 times, but the total amount is not 500 g.

In the course of a day, the water in the basin will continue to evaporate, but the nutrients can not be evaporated. In this way, the concentration of the basin soil will be higher and higher, and when it reaches a certain level, the osmotic balance of concentration difference will be carried out on the roots of flowers and trees.

Finally, the root system will lose water and the whole plant will die. Watering water again the next day can dilute the nutrient concentration in the soil, which is more conducive to the growth of flowers and trees. In fact, the use of water on the leaf surface is the same.
